Kangaroos

According to Wikipedia, "the kangaroo is important to both Australian culture and the national image". Although the current dent in the front of our car is thanks to this important cultural icon, I'm the first to admit, up close, they are pretty cute. Earlier in the year, K spent some time saying hi to some kangaroos with Mum and big sis S.

A Future in Fashion?

Apparently the school uniform needed some accessorizing. I'm not sure we should book a place in Design School just yet.

Fairies

I think we have fairies living in our garden...

Well - there was a whole selection of fairy shelters in our garden - that's until K's gumboot and daddy's mower got to them. I guess I'm the only one who believes in fairies.

Some of our neighbours whilst in the NT

It's okay mate, we will stop the car and wait for you.

Very cute, and friendly.

K got to press the button to snap the croc's jaws - watching it crush the huge block of ice between its jaws.

Who needs pretend jaws though, when these live just down the road.

The reason why people do not swim in Darwin.

This is not a log.

The reason why people do not go fishing in Darwin.

These are wild- not trained crocodiles. Apparently they can all 'jump' to reach their meal (such as a bird sitting on an overhanging branch).

I think the song 'Never Smile at a Crocodile' is a bit of an understatement. I think 'Never, ever go near any possible body of water in the NT as you might come across someone with a smile and more teeth than you' - is a bit closer to the mark.
