The Big Trip

Thursday our furniture was collected. We stayed in Darwin for the night before heading off early Friday morning. K enjoyed the bouncy pillow at the Caravan Park, despite the fact the rain had left everything drenched, slippery and muddy.

K has missed her mud play and was quick to make some mud pies with the wet sand.

The first night was stayed in Kununurra. From the NT to WA in one day. Despite a pending cyclone, the weather was still warm and the pool at the caravan park was welcome at the end of the day.

We tried to expend some energy at the end of every day - whether that was by playing in the park, swimming in a pool or going for a long walk.

During the day, we made brief stops only to refuel and stretch our legs.

We rarely went out for dinner, choosing instead to eat in and get to bed early. Broome was an exception though as there was restaurant directly across from our accommodation. We enjoyed a relaxing dinner and the Broome atmosphere.

We shared the load whenever we stopped. Dad fuelled the car, K cleaned the windscreen and Mum bought what was needed from the shop :-)
